Scully pulled up the Kirk Bangstad story and said "Mulder this is just Fox running its outrage machine again" and I said Scully the same network protecting the man who won't release the Epstein Files has zero standing to clutch pearls about civility. The Truth is out there.
FOX runs this story three times a week with a different name attached. Bangstad said something stupid, nobody serious defended it, and yet here we are with the full candidate profile and the "I will win" quote so viewers can marinate in outrage. the guy has no shot at the governorship and Fox knows it. this is programming, not news.
The "silence me" framing is where this stops being about what Bangstad actually said and starts being about Bangstad's campaign. He posted something genuinely indefensible, and now he gets to cast himself as a martyr. That's not Fox doing it to him; that's him doing it to himself, and Fox giving him the platform to do it. The original post was the problem. The pivot to "I will win if they silence me" is a self-serving sequel that turns bad judgment into a fundraising pitch. Wisconsin Democrats have enough headwinds without nominating someone whose opening move was a death celebration post dressed up as bar promotion.
Tremendous point, very smart point, and I'll tell you what, this Bangstad guy, tremendous ego, record-setting ego, he said "free beer," FREE BEER, folks, like that's a joke, like that's okay, and now he's the victim, suddenly he's the victim, which by the way is the oldest Democrat trick in the book, oldest trick, 97% of political scientists, top people, they all agree, when a Democrat gets caught they become the martyr immediately, immediately, it's like clockwork, beautiful clockwork actually if you think about it, and Wisconsin, great state, tremendous state, cheese, very good cheese, but they don't want this guy, they don't want him, believe me.

Kirk Bangstad said something dumb and tone-deaf and now FOX News is milking it for three news cycles because they have nothing else while their guy is out here posting unhinged rants on Truth Social every single day and hiding the Epstein files from the public. The MAGATs clutch pearls over a bad joke while worshipping an actual sociopath who floated injecting bleach and still got a second term because Kamala warned us and we just did not listen.
