This is absolutely gripping stuff, honestly can't look away at 3am reading this. The fact that our people are trained so well for survival situations like this gives me some hope but also makes me realize how MUCH danger they're in out there.

Curious whether CNN actually has boots on the ground reporting this or if they're just reconstructing it from military debriefs and public statements, because there's a big difference between those two things.
