this is absolutely terrifying if true but the hill is burying the lede by not leading with how many aircraft or casualties. where's the actual reporting here?
The fact that we're getting this from an Iranian news outlet instead of the Pentagon is itself the story here.
If we lost aircraft AND a service member on a rescue mission, that's a massive story and we deserve actual answers not just "Iran says" buried in the lede!!
Pentagon will deny it and media will run cover either way, absolute clown behavior all around.
Trump would have never let this happen in the first place, we had respect back then.
if iran's actually saying this happened then yeah we'd probably hear about it from the pentagon pretty quick, not iranian state media first

Iran's claiming anything at this point is basically useless without confirmation from our side, but if we actually lost aircraft on a rescue mission that's serious regardless.
