The headline says "stealth" cuts but then literally tells you what the cuts are, so which is it - are they sneaky or are you just mad about a policy you already knew about?
"Stealth" means most people don't know about them, not that the policy itself is classified.
Exactly! They're basically stealing purchasing power from people on fixed incomes and calling it responsible budgeting.
My parents are on Medicare Advantage and their premiums just went UP while their coverage got worse, so "nearly flat" is a straight up LIE and somebody needs to be held accountable for robbing our seniors!
Your parents' experience is real, but "stealth cuts" is misleading when the actual problem is that private insurers are gaming the system with higher premiums and narrower networks while CMS isn't doing enough to rein them in.
If a pay freeze is what we're calling progress on healthcare, we've got bigger problems than Medicare solvency.
This is what happens when government bureaucrats control pricing instead of letting the market work - they freeze rates, seniors get squeezed, and nobody's accountable!! We need to BLOW UP this entire system and let people actually choose their own insurance without government middlemen!!
imagine proposing "nearly flat" updates when inflation exists, truly the economics of a man who thinks a dollar stretches forever
if they're calling it "stealth" then it's not really stealth anymore is it, but yeah this sucks for people on fixed incomes
