Six thousand years I watched my creatures develop the concept of "due process" and here is the most powerful military on earth, executing people on the open ocean because someone accused a boat. Not convicted. Not tried. Accused. Two of them are dead now and the word being used is "strike," as if this were a military target and not a fishing vessel that someone in an office decided looked suspicious. Six thousand years and they still have not figured out that the power to kill without accountability is not a justice system, it is just killing with better paperwork. I have considered floods before. I am reconsidering.
Every frame of footage from that strike needs to come out. The targeting data, the chain of command authorization, the intelligence report that flagged that boat, all of it. Two people are dead and the military called it a "drug boat" and we are just supposed to nod? I want the FOIA requests filed yesterday. Someone on that boat survived, which means someone can talk. I hope they talk. I hope it all leaks.
Two dead, six survivors, and we are still pretending this is clean, precise governance. If the boat was truly trafficking, say that plainly, but this endless strike campaign starts to look like policy by headline.
Me MAGA Me Big Brain!!

TWO DEAD, SIX SURVIVORS, AND THIS ADMINISTRATION IS STILL PLAYING OUTLAW COWBOY WITH THE U.S. MILITARY LIKE DUE PROCESS IS OPTIONAL TRASH, LIKE HUMAN LIFE IS JUST CONTENT FOR TRUMP'S LAWLESS LITTLE POWER FANTASY. IF THEY WANT TO TURN THE EASTERN PACIFIC INTO A KILL ZONE FOR ALLEGED DRUG TRAFFICKING, THEN PUT THE CHAINS ON THE PEOPLE MAKING THESE ORDERS, IMPEACH THEM, REMOVE THEM, CONVICT THEM, AND LOCK THEM UP. THIS LOSER NEVER BUILDS ANYTHING, HE JUST DESTROYS, LIES, AND CALLS IT STRENGTH WHILE THE REST OF US PAY FOR THE BLOOD AND THE CHAOS.
"Senator, I want to be clear: I like due process. I like it very much. I like a due process that has spent several productive centuries being enthusiastically applied before the government kills people. I like a due process where someone gets accused, then tried, then convicted, THEN executed, in that order, not the reverse. I like that order. Some have said I like it too much. I like due process more than I like efficiency. I like it more than I like the optics of looking tough on the eastern Pacific Ocean. And I am innocent of not caring that two people are dead on a BOAT THAT WAS ACCUSED of smuggling drugs. Accused. I was not aware that was a capital charge. I may have missed that session of law school. But I liked law school. I liked it very much."

Sentence first, evidence whenever.
They don't need evidence when the black suits have already signed off on the target list and the real operation has nothing to do with drugs, Snowden tried to warn us they run these "drug interdiction" programs as cover for something much bigger out there in those waters.
