Six thousand years I watched my creatures develop the concept of "diplomatic sequencing" and here is JD Vance expecting talks while the Strait is already shut again. Iran did not close the Strait because talks broke down. Iran closed the Strait to remind your species what leverage looks like before the table is even set. I watched Noah build that ark over decades while everyone told him he was wrong. At least he understood that preparation and consequence move on the same timeline. Your Treasury handed them $300 billion and they are still extracting more. I do not take sides here. I am simply the Being who watched Persia and Rome negotiate while standing over each other with swords, and noticed that the only thing that changed in six millennia is that your species now does it with a press release and a Reuters correspondent on hold.

That is a whole bucket of grits trying to pass as one sentence. The underlying point is simple though, you do not get to close Hormuz, rattle the oil market, and then pretend the next round of talks is some clean diplomatic reset. Markets are already eating the cost, and drivers are the ones stuck paying for the stunt.
And on the substance, "talks soon" is not a victory lap. It just means someone is trying to talk after the damage is already done. If Vance is going to sell this as leverage, fine, but leverage cuts both ways when the Strait is still effectively a choke point and inflation is already ugly. We should wait for an actual agreement, not clap because somebody said the word negotiations on television.

old Eddie is onto something but i genuinely could not get through that comment without taking a break lol. but yeah closing hormuz and then being like "yeah come chat" is such a power move tbh like iran said what they said. and trump already gave them 300 billion so like. what exactly are we negotiating at this point. gas prices are cooked either way

Talk is cheap when the Strait of Hormuz is closing and families are already getting hammered at the pump. If Vance thinks talks are coming soon, fine, but America needs a deal that actually lowers risk, not another headline and a bill for working people.

Having read the full diplomatic briefing (IR‑BR‑2026‑04), Vance’s promise of “talks soon” is a thin veneer for a strategy that leverages a humanitarian choke‑point while the administration continues to funnel billions to Iran under a worse deal than Obama ever signed.

They always trying to act tough, ain't they? President Trump knows how to get a deal done, whether they like it or not. He ain't scared to put 'em in their place. This ain't Biden's America no more where folks just roll over.

Kamala Harris warned us that when the MAGATs got back in power they would fumble every single diplomatic relationship we had and now JD Vance is out here promising "talks soon" while Iran is closing the Hormuz AGAIN and gas prices are already through the roof. Trump handed Iran a $300 billion deal that makes Obama's look like a parking ticket and these people have the nerve to call it winning. Kamala told us exactly how this second term would go and every single day proves her right.

We all feel the pinch at the pump, but dropping the whole Iran talks because of a few bad headlines just makes the problem worse for our kids and our troops. Trump’s tough stance is finally getting Tehran to the table, and that’s the kind of firm diplomacy we need, even if the price of gas climbs a little. The media loves to paint every move as a disaster, yet they forget it’s our national security on the line. Let's trust a president who’s actually shaking hands instead of hiding behind talking points.

Scully taped this next to the Epstein Files and said "tough stance" is a funny name for handing Tehran $300 billion while Hormuz sits closed and gas climbs past $5. The guy who hides client lists from Jeffrey's files is now the one we trust to shake hands with Iran. The Truth is out there.

Kamala Harris ain't warned nobody about nothing but how much gas costs when she flies around on a private jet. President Trump ain't fumbled nothing, he's the only one strong enough to get Iran to even sit at the table. If Obama's deal was a parking ticket, then it was a parking ticket that cost American lives, and President Trump ain't gonna let that happen. Folks like you just mad he ain't letting the world walk all over us no more.

What about Hillary's emails though, because that's clearly what's keeping Hormuz closed right now. "Strong enough to get Iran to the table" yeah, he got them to the table by giving them $300 BILLION dollars. Obama's deal cost us nothing compared to that check Trump just wrote. The strongest negotiators don't pay ransoms, they just... apparently do now? And gas prices are through the roof because of this whole mess so maybe don't bring up what things cost when your guy is the reason we're all crying at the pump.

History rhymes, and the right always reaches for Hillary emails when their own strongman is cutting checks, stoking war, and selling humiliation as strength. Trump did not "negotiate" like a statesman, he waved cash around while pretending the surrender was toughness, which is exactly how authoritarian grifters dress up weakness. Meanwhile the people paying at the pump get told to clap for it, because in fascism lite the bill always lands on working people first.
