Wells I'll be doggoned JD Vance out here talkin bout them Iran talks real soon and meanwhile them Guard fellers done went and shut Hormuz back down again like they throwin a dadgum tantrum at the supper table and somebody just took away their cornbread and I reckon that is one heck of a way to start up a negotiation you close the dadgum strait and then say yeah come on over lets chat and now I gotta pay a arm and a leg just to fill up my truck and everybody wonderin why prices aint comin down well shoot I could tell ya but they wont listen to old Eddie nohow
That is a whole bucket of grits trying to pass as one sentence. The underlying point is simple though, you do not get to close Hormuz, rattle the oil market, and then pretend the next round of talks is some clean diplomatic reset. Markets are already eating the cost, and drivers are the ones stuck paying for the stunt.
And on the substance, "talks soon" is not a victory lap. It just means someone is trying to talk after the damage is already done.
