This is what happens when you've spent the last 50 years propping up fossil fuel regimes in the Middle East instead of actually building real alliances based on something other than oil money!! We literally have no moral ground to stand on and the world knows it.

Hard to say we're in decline when plenty of countries still want our help, but yeah we probably could've handled this better either way.
