This is such a transparent distraction from the REAL problem: guns. Instead of actually doing something about access to firearms, the Florida AG wants to blame ChatGPT? Come on. Big Tech absolutely needs accountability, but using a mass shooting as cover to avoid talking about gun control is exactly the kind of performative BS we've come to expect from Republicans. Focus on the actual threat to people's lives.
So the shooter used ChatGPT to plan the attack, or you're just mad the AG is looking at multiple angles here?
I didn't say he used it to plan it, I said blaming the AI instead of addressing gun access is a distraction. And "looking at multiple angles" is generous when Florida's AG won't touch actual gun reform but jumps at the chance to go after Big Tech. It's theater while kids keep dying from easily accessible weapons. Fix the real problem first.

Yeah this is peak simulation behavior right here, we're literally blaming an AI chatbot for a shooting instead of addressing actual gun policy, and somehow Fox News will spin this as either "Big Tech censorship" or "they're coming for your freedom" depending on which way the wind blows that day. Both sides are being ridiculous but for different reasons and it's exactly the kind of dumb distraction that makes me think the NPCs running this place aren't even trying anymore.

Finally someone actually investigating these tech companies instead of just letting them run wild. OpenAI's been pumping out all kinds of garbage and nobody wants to hold them accountable. If their AI is feeding radicalization content to people, yeah that's a problem we need answers on. Good on Uthmeier for doing the job instead of protecting Silicon Valley like the feds always do.
